Team and Responsibilities

Shape the Space. Elevate the Experience. Enable Performance.

Our headquarters at Lake Constance is more than an office. It is a place where ideas are created, people connect, and culture becomes tangible.
As Workplace & Operations Manager, you take end-to-end responsibility for our workplace and operations infrastructure. You ensure that our locations, services, and internal processes run professionally, scale with our growth, and reflect our brand.
You combine operational excellence with high standards for quality, service, and experience. Together with People & Culture, Finance, IT, and the Leadership Team, you shape a work environment that enables performance and strengthens culture.
You coordinate a small on-site team and manage external partners with clear standards and strong quality expectations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You are responsible for our locations and facilities, including maintenance, safety, and the management of external service providers, while strategically developing our office and gym spaces.
  • You take ownership of the visitor and partner experience and continuously evolve service, space, and hospitality standards (including events and catering).
  • You oversee corporate services such as fleet, mobility solutions, equipment, assets, and mobile devices – including contract, budget, and procurement management.
  • You organize internal events and, together with IT and People & Culture, ensure professional onboarding and a strong employee experience.
  • You continuously develop workplace and operations processes, actively manage external partners, and take responsibility for quality, efficiency, and cost management.

Your profile

  • You bring several years of experience in workplace, facility, office, or operations management, or within a hospitality environment.
  • You have strong expertise in vendor, contract, and cost management; experience in dynamic or international organizations is a plus.
  • You work hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented, taking clear ownership.
  • You combine strong service orientation with professional assertiveness.
  • You communicate confidently with employees, partners, and leadership and lead with clarity and empathy.
  • You are passionate about creating environments that connect brand, people, and performance.

This awaits you with us

We’ve created plenty of space for recovery and recharging. This includes six weeks of vacation, a home office policy, and flexible working hours. Intentional moments of activation are a natural part of our daily office life, where we actively promote healthy ways of working. We love our location, which offers a beautiful view of the lake and the many benefits that come with it. Our role-based way of working is defined by transparency, clear ownership, and a strong sense of self-responsibility. We actively encourage internal and external knowledge sharing, enabling continuous growth and development together. And we genuinely enjoy spending time with each other. In addition, as an employer we cover 70% of pension fund contributions, and our employees benefit from product discounts both internally and with external partners.

Ready to shape the workplace of the future?

If you don’t just want to manage but actively shape – if you want to take ownership and create a work environment that connects performance, culture, and brand – we look forward to getting to know you.
A traditional cover letter is not required. What truly matters to us is your ownership mindset and the impact you create.
Please answer the following questions briefly:
  1. What motivates you to shape and take full ownership of a workplace environment – and what would “success” look like for you after your first 12 months at BLACKROLL?
  2. Describe a situation where you significantly improved the experience for employees, visitors, or partners through workplace, operations, or service design. What was your role and what changed?
  3. This role works with many stakeholders and leads a small on-site team. How do you typically build trust, set priorities, and ensure consistently high quality?
